Dusky Premiere’s “Squeezer” From ‘Ordinary World EP’

Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell, also known as the duo ‘Dusky‘ have rapidly made a name for themselves over the past 3 years. These guys have been recognized by being BBC Essential Mix of the Year contenders, DJ Magazine cover stars, and headliners everywhere from Berlin’s Panorama Bar to London’s Fabric. Dusky started off with their ‘Stick By This’ LP in 2011 and made a breakthrough with 2012’s killer ‘Flo Jam’. Signed by the label that broke Maya Jane Coles (Dogmatik), its devastating deep grooves were hammered by everyone from Loefah, Joy Orbison and Boddika to Disclosure, Jamie Jones and Sasha, with even Calvin Harris getting in on the act.

Annie Mac launched the premiere of Dusky’s ‘Squeezer’ on BBC Radio 1 last Friday coinciding with their announcement on this years 20th anniversary of Radio 1’s Ibiza Weekend. On Friday July 31st, Dusky will be joining Disclosure, Jamie Jones & Patrick Topping, and Green Velvet on the live radio brodcast from Ushuaia. AND on the same day, the duo’s ‘Ordinary World EP” will be released including ‘Squeezer’, and another great new tune ‘Skin Deep’.“’Squeezer’ is a track we’ve been playing in our sets for a while now, with a lot of people requesting it on social media. It centers around a modulating syncopated bassline, complemented by a hooky vocal sample and broken up by a melodic breakdown.
