Pegboard Nerds Fight Cancer and Tease Upcoming Pink Cloud EP With The Official Release of “Emoji”
Pegboard Nerds have been on a hot streak lately, showcasing many of the new tracks off of their upcoming EP, Pink Cloud, which is set to drop on October 23rd. Previously released tracks off of the new EP include the fan-favorite “Just Like That” and the title track “Pink Cloud”, but with their latest release, “Emoji”, Pegboard Nerds turn the table a bit by differentiating the tempo throughout the song while retaining a pristine vocal edit. “Emoji” is sure to be one of the tracks that lingers in the minds of listeners long after the initial play.
It was long believed that “Emoji” would never be released to the public as one of the two nerds stated that the duo had no plans to make it available. The song has been a favorite of fans who have witnessed a Pegboard Nerds live set for it has frequented many of their performances worldwide to fantastic acclaim. Until now, hearing the track at a show was the only way you could hear it. Despite their initial remarks, Pegboard Nerds had this to say to their fans, “We’ve been waiting a while to share Emoji with you guys. This is one of our favorites!” It is one of our’s too, and now it is available for you all to listen to in the comfort of your own home.
Pink Cloud is being released in support of Pegboard Nerds recent campaign against cancer with the charity, Fuck Cancer. In the first two weeks of the Pink Cloud and Fuck Cancer campaign Pegboard Nerds have been successful in raising over $18,000 in donations to fight the ruthless illness. All proceeds from Pink Cloud downloads and merchandising sales will be donated to Fuck Cancer‘s breast cancer support initiatives.
