Zeds Dead, Subtronics, & Tape B Release ‘Word Scramble’

Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Tape B have joined forces for one of the most anticipated bass releases so far in 2026. Out today via Deadbeats, “Word Scramble” brings together three artists who are actively shaping the current direction of the genre. The track first surfaced during their B3B set at Decadence Denver on New Year’s Eve, where it quickly became a standout moment and a talking point across fan communities. Since that debut, “Word Scramble” has lived in rotation through live sets and clips without an official release, building steady anticipation around its arrival.

Zeds Dead anchors the track with their cinematic weight and low-end presence, Subtronics adds precision and forward-leaning sound design, and Tape B ties it together with raw, nostalgia-driven dubstep textures. It’s a collaboration that feels intentional, pulling from different eras of bass music while pushing the sound forward.

The timing also lines up with a major moment for each artist. Zeds Dead is entering their largest touring cycle yet with the Journey of a Lifetime tour while marking 10 years of Deadbeats. Subtronics continues his global run with major festival appearances, including Coachella, and Tape B’s rise keeps accelerating with a major amphitheater tour this summer.

Don’t miss Zeds Dead this September for a two-night stint at Mesa Amphitheatre in Arizona. You can grab your tickets here.
