YetepAs if we weren’t all busy spending our time trying to figure out Marshmello’s top secret identity, we’ve got a brand new “mystery” producer who just made its way in our lives (and Soundcloud streams). And this new character is equally (if not more) adorable!
Meet Slushii: simply known as “Julian S.” from “LA to Tokyo” according to his Soundcloud, this new artist received lots of attention this weekend after producers Marshmello and Jauz shared his tracks. Slushii refers to himself as “just a dude making some music” and one of the easiest and best ways to describe said music he’s making would be to simple type a dozen or so flame emojis in a row.
Basically, these tracks are fire.
In My Head (Slushii Remix)
If you’re all about the insane and unexpected drops you need to start with his remix of “In My Head” – originally a euphoric, candy-coated poppy track by Galantis that’s turned into true dubstep magic complete with the perfect amounts of distortion and womps with some occasional lasers to keep it interesting. If you never were really able to get over the dubstep of the early 2010s and find yourself often blasting early Skrillex in your car, this is the track for you.

Disarm You (Slushii Remix)
In addition, there’s a remix of Kaskade’s “Disarm You” which lets you descend into 50 shades of trap magic after the most adorable voice reminds you that you’re listening to Slushii.

Deeper Love (Slushii Remix)
Follow that up with his remix of “Deeper Love” originally by Botnek & I See Monstas, a dubstep take on the DnB track with some of the familiar womp-y vibes from “In My Head.”

Bonus track: make your way over to Spotify and slow it down a bit with “All I’ve Ever Wanted,” Slushii’s mellower but just as addicting original track. Slick vocals, some almost plucky synth chords, and an incredibly smooth drop will make you want to add this to your playlist ASAP.
Put these songs on repeat all weekend long and be sure keep an eye on Slushii for a while: he may be just a dude making some music, but that music’s about to take him places.
