YetepDatsik has proved himself to be one of the best dubstep artists in the scene over the years. In 2009 alone, he had over 7 number one releases on Beatport, and vinyl sales through the roof on other sites such as Chemical Records, Red-Eye and Juno. He has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in edm, and has done remixes for The Crystal Method, Freestylers, Bassnectar, Noisia, Diplo, and many more.
Coinciding with the launch of Datsik’s 17 date Spring Loaded Tour starting March 22nd, his forthcoming Darkstar EP will drop March 25th. To keep you occupied until then he’s given us two songs from the EP that give it a great first impression.
Off the new EP Datsik reveals “Get Back,” and “Feel Good” both bangers in their own way. “Get Back” is a loud and angry Datsik sounding dupstep original, and although it carries a signature sound, it never gets old. “Feel Good” features rapid riser Zack The Lad, and still with one dubstep drop takes a more future bass approach which is exciting to hear from an artist like Datsik.
The remainder of the EP is upon us in just nine days and features names like Travis Barker, Trinidad James, Liinks, Armanni Reign, and newcomer Soltan. Stay tuned for the full EP and for Datsik’s performances as Ephwurd at Phoenix Lights followed by his very own afterparty. It’s about to be lit.
