Skrillex and Diplo Celebrated 1 Year of Jack Ü Album With “Mind” Video Release

Anyone who’s mildly familiar with the EDM community has heard of Jack Ü. Some of us knew through the incredibly popular track “Where Are Ü Now” featuring Canadian superstar Justin Bieber. Those really involved may remember that iconic tweet back in April 2013 from Diplo: “Jack Ü… means skrillex+diplo together..” and the excitement that followed at that idea. Now that first album, Skrillex and Diplo Present… Jack Ü” is celebrating its first birthday. And what better way to celebrate than to announce a music video on OWSLA radio?

Follow along Diplo, Skrillex, and featured artist Kai they take you through the past year of insanity that has been Jack Ü: you’ll see clips from Hard Summer, an LA Clippers halftime show, and travels all throughout the world. Catch occasional clips of Skrillex and Kai serenading each other thrown in and you’ll feel equal parts nostalgia and excitement for the entire four minutes and two seconds. Clearly this duo of incredible producers has been on quite the adventure this past year with the album release – and that clearly shows in the “Mind” video.  Jack Ü even made a stop at Decadence AZ this year to headline the first night of the event – hopefully you were able to see them perform at Rawhide! If not, make an effort to get yourself to a Jack Ü show at some point: it’s an experience that you’ll never forget.
