YetepEveryone breathe. Phoenix Lights has come to an end, I know, it can be tough to catch your breath with those festival withdrawals… but take a second and breathe. There is much and more to look forward to in the coming months including the kick-off of release pool parties starting tomorrow, Saturday April 9th! With that said, take a deep breath and check out this week’s Relentless Beat of the Week which will help cure your post-festival blues, but also will help to calm you and open your eyes to the fact that the party isn’t over quite yet.
From a duo who came out of virtually nowhere with their globe-dominating remix of Mike Posner’s “I Took A Pill in Ibiza”, Seeb has released a haunting debut single with eerie vocals from Neev that is being labeled as this week’s Relentless Beat of the Week! The track opens with an inviting guitar riff which complements Neev’s vocal to a tee. Welcome the bassline which drives into a melodic build and a beautiful vocal inflection from Neev, we reach the drop which transforms the song into a euphoric blend of trop-house and that unique trance-like sound from their remix of Mike Posner’s hit.
Seeb – Breathe ft. Neev
To boot, Seeb also dropped the brand new video for this amazing track. The video includes some stunning natural and human cinematography, likening the clouds and smoke to our breath and our eyes and core to the stress we embody. Using a color palette of deep blues and greys, as well as imagery of water submergence, the video seeks to draw us in with it’s sense of dismay, telling us to “just breathe, don’t drown your heart.”
The track premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 and has garnered over 8 million plays on Spotify alone. The track is quickly dominating the UK airwaves as well, reaching #5 on the UK Spotify viral charts. The video premiered via Universal Music. It would seem that it’s going to be a while before Seeb is able to stop and catch their breath.
