Your Guide To Dirty Disco 2016

This Saturday the 21st, Dirty Disco is back for it’s seventh year at Rawhide Rodeo Arena with lots of fun features. If you like the harder styles of edm and don’t mind getting a little dirty, you’re definitely going to want to check this one out. Dirty Disco has lots to offer, so I’m going to offer you a guide to the event with some great reasons why you can’t miss it, and some handy tips assuring that you make the best of the experience.

Getting There: Rawhide is located off of Interstate 10 near Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino in Chandler, so your best bet is either driving yourself or carpooling with friends. No matter where you’re coming from in the Valley, you’ll want to get to the I-10 East and take Exit 162 for Wild Horse Pass Boulevard. Head west from there and follow the signs to Rawhide. Parking will be available for $10 per car.

Food and Drink: A large concessions area will be set up at Dirty Disco with food and drink available for purchase, as well as a full bar for those of legal age. Free water will also be available throughout the rodeo arena.

Weather: This Saturday it’s looking like the weather will be fairly reasonable at a high of 92 and a low of 62 with some light wind. Get ready for lots, and lots of dirt.

Lineup: This years lineup is the biggest reason that DD is one you just can’t miss. Headliners include Getter, Herobust, Bryan Kearney, Wasted Penguinz, Dirty Audio, Freedom Fighters, Metrik, and a surprise guest, but Dirty Disco has some great locals playing as well.

All sorts of artists have emerged from right here in Az, and the ones we have joining us at the disco are Tempus, with a techno deep house vibe, Sam Groove, who offers lower bpm’s mixed with some harsher dub sounds, Ghost Effect, who will be delivering a tech house set, and Brett Ortiz, with more of a trance feel you can dance to.

While many of you may feel at home at events like such, you can’t bring just anything with you like you could at home.

What To Bring: First things first, don’t leave the house without your ID and ticket, duh. Since its held in a rodeo arena lots of dust will be kicked up, so a dusk mask isn’t a bad idea, especially if you have any sort of breathing problem. Unlike some events and good news for glovers, LED gloves ARE allowed to this one, so get some fresh batteries in those bad boys. Some other key items allowed are camelbacks, fanny packs, sealed cigarettes, sealed tampons, earplugs, hula hoops, totems, and inflatables.

What Not To Bring: The list of not permitted items includes everything from illegal substances to potentially dangerous items like laser pointers, wallet chains, spiked jewelry, or weapons of any kind. Also forbidden are pacifiers, Native American headdresses, markers, stickers, eye drops, outside food and drink, blankets, and large bags. You also won’t be able to bring in pre-opened cigarettes, Chapstick, or tampons.

VIP: As if the event itself wasn’t enough, VIP offers some luxury that could take your night to the next level. VIP includes express entry, a lanyard, premier bleacher seating, private bar + restroom and a surprise worth every penny.

With a huge stage, lots of fire, lasers, mud, and a massive sound system, Rawhide’s rodeo arena, where lots of festivals have been held, will be turned into the biggest dirty dance playground possible for you to get down and dirty. Lots of fun and surprises await you this weekend if you’re attending Dirty Disco.
