YetepThe duo that makes up Dada Life have always been known to throw some awesome shows. They are extremely interactive with their crowd and will work relentlessly to put a smile on anyone and everyone’s face. As a part of their experience they create for everyone, they are known for their bananas and champagne and their dualism between rage and happiness, two emotions they always try to instill in their audience. With their latest two tracks they try to take a stab at really capturing the two differences between these emotions with “Red is the Color of Rage” and “Yellow is the Color of Happiness“.
Red Is The Color Of Rage
Yellow Is The Color Of Happiness
Just within the first couple of seconds you can tell how vastly different the tracks are. For the emotion of happiness, we find ourselves in a electro house song with long build ups and fat synth stabs for the melody. It’s almost hard to make a happy song not sound too cheesy and Dada Life does a great job at capturing the essence of the emotion. For rage, Dada Life takes you somewhere much darker. With a biting bass lines that doesn’t dance all over the place like a happy melody would, you could say Dada Life has made a really solid tech house song to depict rage.
Portraying emotions in music is a little hard sometimes when you force it, but Dada Life being the kings of electro house that they are pull it off pretty well. Don’t forget that they will be here for Mad Decent Block Party on day two September 17th! If you want tickets they are available right here!
