Festival Focus: Backwoods Music Festival

Welcome to Oklahoma City, home of the Backwoods Music Festival. Come rest your kicks along the old Route 66 and enjoy a large array of musicians including Nero, moe., Big Chocolate, Liquid Stranger, Coleman Hell, Autograf, and more.

One of the perks of Backwoods that gives it a unique feel are all of the adventures within water. Bring your tube because one of the many daily activities are on the 15 acre lake. With large inflatable slides and obstacle courses, bounce up, down, around, and into the water! For 2016, they have added a massive slip n slide and the beach has been extended.

Backwoods Music Festival has done all in its power to consider the feedback of 2015 attendees to massively improve the structure of this year’s event. Light and production, water refill stations, and shaded areas are just some of the many additions. Also implemented is a new security crew that is more trained for large scale events, so you won’t have to worry about anything except having an exceptional time.

Within the Healing Dome, reorganize your thoughts and energy with the extensive list of workshops included throughout the four day experience. Participate in the drum circles to expand your knowledge of perpetual sound. Express your athleticism with the daily volleyball tournaments. For all you poi boys and girls, there is a meet up every night that allows you to exchange ideas and tricks with others who share the same interest in the activity.
