YetepEven if you’re not a fan of pasta, you’ll be asking for a heaping portion of Spag Heddy.
Mischa Reining, also known as Spag Heddy, is known for his hard hitting bass sound and has even gained support from the likes of Skrillex, Datsik and Cookie Monsta. His career creating neck-breaking tunes started in 2011, but his love of music started as soon as he could hold a pair of drumsticks. At 16, he was creating hip-hop beats but that all changed when dubstep got big in Holland.
“I fell in love with the wobbles,” he said in an interview with Your EDM. “When Skrillex dropped Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites it was perfect: the combination of sweet melodies AND monster growls! Guys like Cookie Monsta, Funtcase, Figure, Excision, and Dr. Philth became huge influences to me.”
His tracks are hard-hitting and bass heavy, just the way we like it. He admires American dubstep because it’s the rougher, growlier side of the genre, exactly like what he’s been creating. Some of his top tracks include Pink Koeks, Love on First Sine, Heddy Bitsh, and The Master. He’s also notorious for creating VIP mixes of his songs and taking them to a whole new level.
With over 100 tracks of his own, Spag Heddy has made his mark as a major player in dubstep with a huge American fan base. 2016 was a huge year for this Spain-based producer, as he embarked on his first ever US tour.
“Most of my fanbase seems to be in America and for years I’ve been asked to come over and play so it’s dream come true for me and my fans,” he said in an interview with UKF.
After spending the summer killing it on his very own “Summer U.S. Tour,” Spag Heddy continued his trip through the States with Never Say Die Records on the “Never Say Die Fall Tour 2016.”
The Never Say Die Fall Tour makes its last stop in Phoenix and features three key players in head-bangingly awesome dubstep: Eptic, Must Die!, and Spag Heddy. Mark your calendars for October 22 because these three legends are taking over Monarch Theatre. Grab your tickets here.
