YetepJack Ü, which consists of EDM superstars Diplo and Skrillex, played a rowdy set at Reading Festival in England, but there’s reason to believe it might be the last one we hear for awhile. Although we’re still waiting to hear something official, in a recent tweet that has since been deleted, Skrillex let the announcement slip out.. “Just did out Last jack Ü festivals of 2016 …and for a long long time. thank you for all the people who came out to support us”. Collaborations with Lil Dicky, Big Sean, and MØ are all supposedly in works, so it’s safe to assume Jack Ü isn’t breaking up, but merely taking a break.
Their high-energy sets would be missed on lineups, but historically taking a break from touring has been a good thing for artists. It usually means new music is coming soon. It’s possible that on top of making new music as Jack Ü, they want to take some time to work on their individual projects as artists. Diplo has had an album with Major Lazer in the works for quite some time, and Skrillex hasn’t released an album since 2014.

Jack Ü new song “Constellations” LIVE at Leeds Festival 2016
They previewed some of their new music during the last set they played together. A much anticipated collaboration with Florence + The Machine that features Florence Welch‘s angelic vocals with a steady kick beat behind it and euphoric drops. Hopefully we’ll hear a full version of this track, as well as some more new music from this duo soon!
