YetepSince his name first blew up on the scene in early 2014 when his first EP, “Big Booty”, was released on Worthy‘s Anabatic label, Will Clarke has been receiving a lot of praises and supports from many House producers around the world, such as Jamie Jones, MK, Billy Kenny, Pete Tong, Green Velvet, and many more. Among these, was the support and attention from Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke, who welcomed him into the Dirtybird family and saw him becoming one of the label’s most regularly released artists. Recently, via Dirtybird, Will Clarke released another EP, with what looks to be one of Dirtybird’s biggest track of the year, Booty Percolatin’. Check it out!
The EP titled track, Booty Percolatin’, is a collaboration between Will Clarke and DJ Funk. This type of Tech House is a Will Clarke specialty: a style that fuses the best of Bristol’s bass elements with the upfront house music sensibilities of Ibiza. With the crisp percussion instruments, the powerful and compelling rubber bass, and a vocal sample as dirty as “Dat Booty Percolatin'”, no wonder this track is to be one of Dirtybird’s biggest track of the year. The remaining track, House Girl, fits right in with the sounds that Dirtybird represents: weird background samples, repetitive yet fun vocal samples, and a less filtered, heavy, and melodic bass sequence.
Will Clarke will be joining the whole Dirtybird family at Dirtybird Campout on October 7 and will also bring his Barber Shop tour to Phoenix alongside with Sage Armstrong at Monarch Theater on October 22. I’m excited to finally hear these tracks over the powerful Campout sound system.
