YetepBoombox Cartel, the DJ/Producer duo from Monterrey, Mexico, have been around the world spreading their jaw-breaking live sets and unforgettable creativity. The blend of genre in their style has made the duo one of the most popular in this year’s EDM world. Their debut single ‘B2U’ set them on the trap king scale a while back, and they have since continued to raise the bar.
As if RL Grime’s Halloween V wasn’t enough to get us through the spooky season, we now have another soundtrack to keep us in the spirit of this time of year. Boombox Cartel honored their culture and the Day of the Dead the best way they know how — releasing irresistible music.
The ‘Dia De Los Muertos Mix’ is jam-packed with ominous trap and haunting dubstep. Kicking it off with their most popular collab with NGHTMRE, ‘Aftershock VIP’ has us hooked from that point on. Throwing in some classic trap tunes by What So Not and RL Grime that every raver would recognize, Boombox Cartel also recognizes some very worthy remixes that I had not even heard yet.
