Artist Spotlight: Getting To Know Jason Ross

San Diego Based DJ and producer Jason Ross serves as one of the biggest trance artists to date as he has been named Above And Beyond’s breakthrough artist of the year,artist to watch by electronic music blogs LessThan3 and YourEDM, and crowned the future face of trance by Insomniac. His talents were first discovered by popular Dutch DJ, JoeySuki, where Ross’ first track “Angur” was released by Suki’s own label, Dubbed Records which is an independent record label devoted to new music and presented with the highest standards.

Jason shared a little about how his love for music began in an interview with onlythebeat stating:  “I think it all started when I was like 12 years old. I heard Darude’s, “Sandstorm” and ATB’s, “Till I Come” and from then I was hooked. I started DJing in college and was hooked up with San Diego’s Eventvibe, and then from there I kind of worked my way up from like the first guy opening to direct support. And now here I am!”

Jason’s true beginning took place in 2014 with the success of his single “Burma.” Above And Beyond played the track in their weekly Group Therapy radio show and then trance fans worldwide voted for it to be played again for the following two weeks. Along with “Burma,” Jason’s tracks have proven to dominate main stage’s worldwide with support from the likes of artists like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Seven Lions, Kaskade, Andrew Bayer, ilan Bluestone, Cosmic Gate and many more.

Jason Ross’ productions displays the perfect balance of powerful emotion and electrifying energy and his flawless mixing skills have also been featured on various podcasts including iClub, iHeart Radio, and EV Music Podcast. With a bright future ahead of him, Jason Ross continues to excel in his production skills and by gaining further notoriety and support from some of the biggest names in the business.
