Skrillex Reunites With From First To Last After A 10 Year Hiatus

By now you’ve heard of Skrillex, one of the biggest DJs and producers in the industry. But before he was Skrillex he was Sonny Moore, vocalist for the emo-punk-rock band, From First To Last. The band first formed in 1999 and Sonny joined when he was only 16. He left the band in 2006 to pursue his solo career as a DJ. It’s been over ten years since Moore last released music with the band, but 20-somethings everywhere can rejoice because FFTL is back with all the same angst we love!

With almost no warning at all the new song, “Make War”, was released on Sonny’s 29th birthday under OWSLA and Sumerian Records.

After ten long years the song is everything fans could have hoped for. Sonny delivers solid vocals that would lead you to believe he never left the band. According to the group, “Sonny co-wrote the track in addition to lending his vocals and production skills for the original band’s first reunion in more than a decade, with all other original members returning for their respective roles.”

We’re not sure if this is a one-time treat or if we’ll see more from Skrillex and FFTL in the future. Keep your eyes and ears peeled!
