YetepBoth MAKJ and Max Styler hail from the same small beach town in California called San Luis Obispo; Oprah has claimed SLO to be happiest town in North America. The happy little beach town of SLO has also been s starting point in electronic music for industry heavyweights, like Wolfgang Gartner who rose to stardom, paving the way for artists like MAKJ and Max Styler. The latest to come out of SLO is a collab between these two artists.
When two budding talents get together to collaborate on a track, the result is a massive track like this one. MAKJ and Max Styler combine forces on their new collab “Knock Me Down,” out now via Steve Aoki‘s Dim Mak imprint. “Knock Me Down” feels both energizing and inspiring; the perfect song to play anytime your psyche is in need of a confidence boost, before a competition, or even to just get you going at the gym. Elayna Boynton lays down some powerful, standout vocals in “Knock Me Down.” You may recognize the voice of Elayna Boynton from her hit “Freedom” from the Django Unchained soundtrack, having amassed over 20 million plays on Youtube, consequently from the girl’s wildly impressive pipes.
