Porter Robinson Returns to Phoenix

A master of his craft, god of the decks, and living legend, Porter Robinson is a self-taught producer has been creating music since the tender age of 12 and has been shifting the common ideals of what EDM music encompasses since. Believe it or not, Porter created his name in the industry by producing heavy hard-hitting dubstep. In 2011 his music caught the attention of dance music and dubstep legend, Skrillex, which resulted in Owlsa’s first release, an 11 track EP titled Spitfire. Fast forward 3 years and he gave us Worlds, arguably one the most impactful albums of this decade.

Describing Worlds is like explaining art to a blind man, it’s just indescribable. Porter has been a pioneer in the EDM industry since by creating an entirely new genre–a genre that veered away from the “3..2..1..jump” atmosphere and closer to a multi-sensory ethereal experience. Though he hasn’t released new music in nearly 3 years, his cult style following grows daily. This is a true testament to his impact.
