Yetep“Where the Wild Things Are” is a perfect combination of both Zeds Dead’s explosive bass melodies and Illenium’s synthy future bass. As a die-hard fan of both, I was overjoyed when I heard the two would be doing a collab.
Unlike the power duo that is Zeds dead, Illenium has very recently hit the scene but has emerged with more hype than some of the most renowned DJs out there. If you’ve seen the lineups over the past year and especially this festival season, you’ll see his name popping up all over. Illenium broke out with his ‘Ashes’ EP last year and hasn’t stopped picking up speed since. Zeds Dead has been on the scene for around 8 years now so we’re all used to getting our heads blown off by them whether it be through their albums or on stage. With collabs with huge names such as Diplo, NGHTMRE and many more, ZD has yet to fail us.
This recent collaboration from them brings the best of both.
If you haven’t heard this tune yet, you’re severely missing out. Its’ unique lyricism combined with a stunning bass drop can only be described as something my ears needed to hear.
