YetepPhoenix native Ghastly has rolled out yet another memorable track, this time though, he has put a happy and light-hearted spin on traditional his musical style. He is best known for his funky dubstep repertoire, but this is a refreshing take on what he usually brings to the table. It sounds like an experimental attempt at his signature sound because he still manages to offer up a sickening dubstep drop at about 2:40. Any way you decide to look at it, it’s safe to say that Ghastly is veering in a different direction than his usual fare with “I’ll Wait.”
Just in time for the holiday season, this track gives fans the happy sound that we’re all seeking out. With Halloween just past, this track is a perfect segue into the current wave of musical releases. Ghastly has recently been involved in tracks such as “End of the Night” with NGHTMRE and “We Might Fall” with Matthew Koma, so it seems as if he has been trying to prove his versatility as an artist. After listening to all these tracks, it is apparent that Ghastly can do just that, and do it well.
With the release, Ghastly had this to say on Twitter: “SURPRISE! Just dropped a new song from my album! Trying something different as per usual — enjoy!”
Overall, the track exhibits a childlike spiritedness that made us glow with delight. You can catch Ghastly later this month at the first-ever Goldrush Music Festival taking place November 18 and 19. Get more info and grab tickets here.
