YetepKnown for his floor-ready bass and grime sounds, UK artist Darq E Freaker returns to prominence with the first release in an ongoing series. He has just put out two tracks in one, and both have been inspired by old-school rave themes.
Up first is ‘Red Velvet,’ which instantly grabs attention. Heading straight in for a deluge of trapped out beats, gnarly bassline riffs and some vocal drawls, it goes off. ‘Butterscotch’ is melodic but equally dynamic, playing around with snappy builds and garage-influenced vocal pops.
