YetepJES is back and packed with her familiar vocal prowess on a brand new single, “The One.” This time, the songstress is spicing up the production by inviting Joonas Hahmo and JS16 to this happycore/trance throwback.
While she may have charmed us with her progressive house/R&B inspired “Get Me Through The Night” in December, JES is using “The One” to experiment with new, catchy sounds. Her vocals may be modified, but the folks behind the boards have a field day with the pulsing synths and high-strung vocals which mimic our 2008 happycore days. Some might even identify certain progressive influences in early 2000s Euro house in “The One” with Kylie Minogue‘s modern pop music take on trance and progressive house. It’s always fun to break the mold of what people expect from you and surprise them with something totally different,” said JES on the new release. “A lot of my songs have a more serious emotional feel, but with this one, I got to have some fun and break the rules!”
Released on Enhanced Music, both producers included on the track help JES give “The One” a Euro-trip of a makeover. This new single will surely continue to cement JES as a go-to vocalist in the scene, as well as strengthen her reputation as a singer-songwriter. Aside from her known contributions, JES continues to foster independent talent and artists on Intonation Records.
