YetepThey say good things take time, and that’s definitely the case with Oshi‘s new track “Frozen.” When the 19-year-old, born Joshua Brennan, dropped this collab with Baauer on Soundcloud, he wrote, “here u guys are, after a year and a half lmao <3.” Whatever took so long in producing this track, it was worth it. His original-sounding chill trap song and teaming up with a big name like Baauer should get the LA-based youngster the attention he deserves.
“Frozen” is an icy cool track with chill bass in the background that keeps a nice beat. It keeps its fidelity to Oshi and Baauer’s trap roots while having a futuristic undertone that gives it a more relaxed vibe than typical trap music. It’s impressive that Oshi is accomplishing such a unique sound and collaborating with well-established producers while he’s still so young. Is he the next Martin Garrix of trap?
Oshi is accomplishing big things already in 2018 with this collab, and his next big success is waiting for him at Phoenix Lights in April. Make sure you don’t miss him by getting your tickets here.
