Relentless Beat of the Week: Arius – ‘Third Eye’ feat. Born I Music

Seven years ago, a dancer named Matt Nguyen and a blue-haired cocktail waitress named Tessa Lizz met and hit it off at EDC Las Vegas, and just like that the DJ duo Ariuswas born.

Arius is often viewed as pioneers of unchartered territory – breaking out of the boundaries of genres like dubstep, riddim, and trap. With a unique, rugged sound, the duo manages to produce track after track of heavy, dubstep bangers, while employing skill and talent. Lizz, for example, is known for her quick, finger drumming skills, which results in meticulously controlled beats and drops. Watching the two perform together is entrancing, as they build off each other’s energy, amplifying the sensations of bass music.
