YetepLA-based duo, Eli Sones and Matthew Halper, or as we like to call them, Two Friends, have been creating music since they were but wee teens. In high school, the two established their passion for producing music. Starting off solo making hip-hop beats, the two eventually found each other and slowly began introducing more and more electric music into the mix after visiting the Sahara tent at Coachella. Ever since their vision for Two Friends has blossomed.
As they made more and more under their alias, they began putting out their own mixtapes titled “Big Bootie Mixes.” So far, they are up to Vol. 13 and all of them are so unique and oodles of fun.
These mixes go where no DJ has gone before. In an interview with Raver Rafting, the boys said they hope to put out “songs that are fun and get you dancing and moving, but also hopefully resonate with you on a more emotional level at the same time.” Mission accomplished. These compilations of some of the best throwbacks I’ve ever heard do just that.
I love when DJs step outside their comfort zone and play things that we don’t usually hear, be in it mixes or sets. These “Big Bootie Mixes” always brighten my day and put that much-needed pep in my step.
