YetepMysterious Australian mega-talent, Naderi, is likely one of the most underrated names in the industry. Almost every huge Aussie DJ has worked with Naderi on their records. Yes, this includes What So Not, Carmada, and of course, Flume. Naderi has been a sound engineer on multiple records and actually introduced Flume to Ableton when the superstar was just 14. On behalf of everyone with ears, I’d like to formally thank you, Naderi.
If you figured we were missing one giant Australian mastermind, you were right. Naderi is extremely close friends with Alison Wonderland. If you’ll look back all the way to May of 2017, you may recall AW’s jaw-dropping “Shape of You” cover with none other than, you guessed it–Naderi. Now, nearly a year later, the two have combined forces again with his remix of her hit single, “Church.”
We all know that one of the many reasons why Alison Wonderland is so unique to this industry is because of her honesty and her ability to say exactly what’s on her mind no matter how personal it may be. “Church” showcases this raw empowerment perfectly. Naderi’s remix gives this song a much more sultry vibe, beginning with a few piano chords and slowly allowing the beat to speed up in tempo. As the track builds, more bass is meticulously placed until we’re finally saturated with a melodic set of synths at the drop.
Naderi has given us countless remixes, and hopefully soon to be original tracks. He’s now working with Jauz on a project, which sure to be nothing short of exceptional. You’re definitely going to want to keep tabs on this one–he is not going anywhere.
