YetepA highly acclaimed electronic music producer and coveted live act, G Jones is a force to be reckoned with in the world of bass. The Santa Cruz native emerged onto the scene back in 2012 and has been shaking up the underground scene ever since with his genre-bending sound. G Jones is a frequent collaborator with industry staples like Bassnectar and DJ Shadow, who have both sung his praises at one time or another. DJ Shadow once referred to him as “the most gifted Ableton beatmaker I’ve ever seen.”
In his latest track, “In Your Head,” G Jones delivers a mystifying blend of distorted bass, stabbing synths, and nonstop chaos, but in the very best sense of the word. Check it out below.
“In Your Head” is the second single off the producers forthcoming album, following the cinematic “Understanding the Possibility.” The track is pure trap and bass madness, as G Jones continues to set high expectations for his debut album, which will be released later this year.
You’ll get your chance to see G Jones throw down live alongside Zeds Dead, NGHTMRE, and Midnight Tyrannosaurus at Bassrush Massive Arizona this coming August. Grab your tickets here.
