YetepWhat happens when techno pioneer Nicole Moudaber and innovative 90’s dance music icon Moby get together to produce a collaborative EP? Magic, that’s what. The pair just announced the release of the Adoption EP, a two-track production on Moudaber’s MOOD Records label. The EP was released exclusively on Beatport on September 21 and will be distributed everywhere on October 5.
With the premiere of “Mere Anarchy” off the forthcoming EP, Moudaber offers a heavy remix of the original off Moby’s 2018 album Everything Was Beautiful, and Nothing Hurt. Packed full of haunting melodies and orchestral sounds, the track leaves listeners feeling hypnotized. On the second track, Moudaber reworks Moby’s “Like a Motherless Child,” into a dark and twisted techno track, pitching down Moby’s vocals to create a deep demonic sound. Check out the EP below.
Moudaber’s MOOD Records has served as a successful home for some of the most intriguing productions since launching five years ago. The label has hosted some of the top names in underground dance music including Jamie Jones, PanPot and Carl Cox, who she recently collaborated with to celebrate her 50th release on the imprint.
If you’d like to hear more of Nicole Moudaber, be sure to catch her live at Shady Park on Sunday, October 7. Grab your tickets here.
