Relentless Beat of the Week: Gerry Gonza – ‘WAP’

Arizona has been producing some serious local talent lately, particularly with Phoenix-based DJ/producer Gerardo Arrellano, aka Gerry Gonza. A master of G-House and frequent collaborator with fellow AZ-based producer Bijou, Gonza hit the scene hard back in 2016, bringing a mixture of driving basslines and drums combined with melodic synths that come together to form fresh, innovative sounds.

This week’s Relentless Beat of the Week is Gonza’s latest single, “WAP.” Take a listen below.

This banger of a track features a steady, kicking beat with a metallic twist, showcasing Gonza’s fresh take on G-House production. The artist has come a long way since his successful “Bad Bitches” single, released on Tchami’s Confession label back in 2016.  He’s released a ton of original music, as well as collaborations with some big names like Destructo. He’s also played countless gigs, both in his home state and all over the country.
