YetepThe club turns into a “house” when Green Velvet comes through, especially when he’s throwing heaters like his latest, “My Frequency”. This track sees him working with Ibiza-based DJ Doorly and fellow house homie, Hauswerks and together, this trio was bound to turn heads. “My Frequency” is now your Relentless Beat of the Week.
Green Velvet is know for being the messiah of the House genre. He’s been at it since the 90’s, nurturing the Chicago house renaissance with his Cajual Records. This project gained immense success in 1993 with the Cajmere single “Brighter Days” and later that year, he formed the sub-label Relief, mostly for instrumental tracks by himself and others. Now these outlets not only house the works countless other great DJs but the late and great, “My Frequency”.
Be sure to catch Green Velvet as he takes the stage for Decadence AZ, taking place on December 30th and 31st at Rawhide Event Center. See the full lineup, get more info, and purchase tickets here. Already know you won’t have enough of that green mohawk? You can catch him after hours at the after glow after party on January 1. Grab your tickets here.
