12th Planet & PhaseOne Ask, Wanna ‘Taco Bout It’?

John Dadzie, professionally known as 12th Planet, is known as one of the pioneers of dubstep in the U.S. As bass music began to rise in popularity, he helped navigate its uncharted territories with singles like his breakout “68” and collaborations with other ambassadors of the genre, such as Skrillex and Kill the Noise. Over time, 12th Planet became a household name in the global dance music circuit, with releases on Mad Decent, Monstercat and OWSLA, as well as by supporting artists like Skrillex on tour and making stops at major festivals like Coachella, EDC, and Ultra, along the way.

Graeme Duffy, better known by the stage name PhaseOne, is a versatile electronic music producer and DJ from Sydney, Australia. PhaseOne has asserted himself as one of the most consistent and significant talents to emerge from the Australian bass music scene in the last few years. He first became prevalent as PhaseOne in 2013, already having a strong knowledge of music production.

Put the two together and it’s bass magic. Check out 12th Planet and PhaseOne’s latest single, “Taco Bout It” below.

This track features a long and ominous build up and eventually drops into an explosion of bass. It’s a dubstep crowd-pleaser, and we’d expect nothing less from 12th Planet.

You can catch 12th Planet on his Swamplex tour next March when he heads to the Pressroom in Phoenix. Click here to purchase tickets!
