YetepListen–good dubstep is not only about the build and the drop. Sure, headbangers look forward to that sweet release of the bass, but we also need the softer moments that contrast with the heaviness of dub, and some dubstep artists forget about that. One producer that has it on lock, however, is Gladez, and he’s here to prove it with his most recent release, “Nightrider.”
The mysterious, slow intro of the track is nearly reminiscent of 80s synth vibes, which adds darkness to the track and nicely suits the title of the song. This is that softer moment that headbangers enjoy right before the meatiness of dub music. True to the Never Say Die label, the drop kicks in some majorly heavy-hitting bass with a little trap influence to top it off. Just as quickly as it hit, the melody takes this track back into the night. Don’t worry – we can definitely expect more fire from Gladez in the future.
