YetepClaus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems make up the German trance duo you undoubtedly know as Cosmic Gate. The duo has been around for almost two decades, and their long list of accomplishments surely shows that – they’ve released seven studio albums as well as numerous compilation albums and DJ mixes, performed over 1,000 gigs all over the world, and collaborated with some of the most well-known trance artists in the industry, including Armin van Buuren, Markus Shulz, and Ferry Corsten. For this week’s Spin it Back Saturday, we’re heading all the way back to 2001 for Cosmic Gate’s “Exploration of Space.”
Arguably one of the biggest trance songs to date, “Exploration of Space,” was clearly a successful track for the duo pretty early on in their career. In later years, we’d see them move away from their harder edged trance sound and more toward a subtler style. However, the duo maintains their infectious energy today, making them an easy go-to choice when you just want to hear some trance.
You can get your trance fix on Friday, June 14 when Cosmic Gate heads to Shady Park. Click here to purchase tickets.
