YetepHot off their sinister remix of Billie Eilish’s “bury a friend” and a Delta Heavy drum and bass collab, “Lift You Up,” our favorite dubstep duo, Zeds Dead, is back with another remix of Ellie Goulding, Diplo, and Swae Lee’s “Close To Me.”
The original “Close To Me” was released at the end of 2018, but it’s already received four official remixes by the likes of Felix Cartal, CID, Nonsens, and of course, Zeds Dead. Check it out below.
The duo, made up of Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan, looks to their roots for inspiration on this one, playing with synths and incorporating gritty bass, all while maintaining much of Goulding’s and Swae Lee’s original vocals. Much lighter than the past few releases we’ve seen from Zeds Dead, the remix is reminiscent of some of their earlier tracks, sparking nostalgia for the good old days when we first discovered what these two were capable of.
Be sure to catch Zeds Dead as they headline their Deadbeats 420 show this Saturday at Rawhide Event Center in Tempe. Click here to purchase tickets!
