YetepHawaii native Christian Mochizuki, better known by his stage name Graves, creates dynamic electronic music that is emotionally sophisticated and emotionally tumultuous. Aside from his own project, he’s also worked as an engineer for Kanye West, as well as earning credits on albums for artists like Justin Bieber, Kid Cudi, Big Sean and more. His hip-hop influenced style is surely what gains attention from fans and other artists alike, and recently he dropped two smoking singles with multi-layered vibes. Listen below.
“Deadsong” is definitely the heavier of the two, with future bass synths combatting with heavy-hitting bass and aggressive vocals from 93FEETOFSMOKE. The song emotes both rage and softness in a way conflicted listeners will appreciate.

“Transmissions” is a little more on the feelsy side, offering those same synths with a taste of high-pitched samples to get lost in. Whether you favor one track over the other, Graves will likely be playing them during his set at AURA on August 3rd. Get your tickets here.
