YetepIf you are a fan of dreamy, melodic bass music then MitiS’ latest EP, Shattered, is perfect for you! The EP dropped recently on fellow producer Seven Lions’ label Ophelia Records. MitiS’ Ophelia debut is nothing short of stunning. If you are unfamiliar with him, the Pennsylvania native producer, also known as Joseph Torre, pours his heart into everything he creates. Torre actually grew up playing classical piano and now uses that within his electronic music production, calling it “piano-driven melodic bass.” MitiS has been making music for years now, but with the release of Shattered fans and Torre himself can recognize his growth. On the emotion-filled three track EP he explains that he “stepped out of what [he is] used to and really dug into the songwriting side of things – not just production” which you can listen to below!
Kicking things off delicately with “Home” featuring Niko Athanasatos, MitiS sets the tone for this project. The track incorporates his classic melodic sound paired with some beautiful vocals to take listeners on a lovely journey. Following is the title track “Shattered” which features RUNN’s welcoming vocals and will capture the hearts of listeners with its slow but powerful message. Wrapping things up is “Mirrors” which, if you are familiar with MitiS’ past releases, feels very nostalgic and has all the aspects of a perfect melodic bass track. MitiS really put his all into Shattered for his Ophelia Records debut and we are eager for what is to come from him.
