Spin It Back Saturday: Snails – ‘Dirty Raxxx’

Over the last six years, Canadian artist Snails has made massive strides toward cementing his status as one of the leading figures in bass music. We have seen him do remarkable things in the scene that range from creating a die hard slug army who follows his slim trail relentlessly, having a string of sell out shows and even creating his own label, Slugz Music. It’s successes like this that are a direct result of just how powerful his sound is. It’s no wonder his debut album and first full-production tour, called “The Shell” peaked as #7 on Billboards charts upon release in 2017.

Now, because it’s Saturday, let’s look way back at what life and sound was like for Snails before all these triumphs. His 2014 hit track, “Dirty Raxx”, lends to the more trap side of things but still has that grimy, wonky and vomit-step flare that holds true to the Snails sound today.
