YetepCanadian DJ and Producer ATTLAS has been releasing mind-bending, unrestrained tracks since the mysterious release of his “Aural Psynapse” remix. As a mainstay on Deadmau5’s record label, Jeff Hartford has had four years of releases cultivating some of the most luscious soundscapes and percussive elements with many more ground-breaking years to come. He’s already amassed three EPs via mau5trap, original singles, and remixes for Louis The Child, Tove Lo, Rihanna, and more. And by supporting Zed’s Dead, Alison Wonderland, and Deadmau5 himself on tours all over, his fan base continues to grow as fast as he does. We can expect big things from this future house guru as he gears up for the release of his debut album, Lavender God. To give us a taste, ATTLAS released “Sinner Complicated,” a trippy kaleidoscope journey that sets up the story he’s creating for this album. Out now on mau5trap, listen below.
ATTLAS – Sinner Complicated (4K Visualizer)
“Sinner Complicated” is a pure progressive house piece under toned with some buzzing techno vibes. Paired with visuals done by Thomas Moore, listening to it sends you into a viscous pool of sensory pleasing colors and tones. It starts with the recognizable, but quickly devolves into the unknown, ending on a heartbeat that may or may not be your own.
In a press release, ATTLAS said, “‘Sinner Complicated’ is a textured and atmospheric roller that progresses with narrative intention from the beginning. It’s a good first introduction to the album as well – the melodies through both the track and album are much more a result of live performance, and the arrangements let their energies ebb and flow with an almost restless spirit. Freedom and the grand mystery are the themes that drove me throughout the process.”
Be sure to grab tickets here to see ATTLAS live at Shady Park on Friday, January 17th, 2020.
