YetepFrom the day Sullivan King and Wooli teased a possible collab, fans have been itching for a release they already knew would blow them away. Well, we don’t have to wait any longer as “Don’t Forget Me” is officially out via Monstercat, and don’t worry, I don’t think any of us will be forgetting this one for a long time. These two lighthearted, beautiful souls have made such an impact on the scene and especially on us fans, never failing to drop tracks that rake us through gritty and grimy dubstep. Sullivan King was born with one-half metal and one-half dubstep ingrained deep into his DNA. Wooli delivers the essence of prehistoric giants alongside electronic ballads. And together, their styles fuse to have you shedding tears while reminiscing those emo rock days, all while breaking your neck. With a cohesive and powerful electronic balance, “Don’t Forget Me” is sure to land on every dubstep set this festival season. Out now on Monstercat, listen below.
Recently the two played together at the Forbidden Kingdom Festival, throwing the track at the audience before giving them a chance to let it sink in. The opening is sultry, and buzzing giving us a quiet moment with Sully’s metal vibes before weird bass and glittering synths drop hard. A feel-good, yet sinister track that captures the sound of these two so distinctly. How can metal, melodic intros, and dubstep melt so perfectly together in a brazen, auspicious production? Because when Sullivan King and Wolli collab, the result is just that.
King just wrapped up his Thank You For Raging tour while Wooli is just getting started supporting Excision on The Evolution tour. Can’t wait to live vicariously through videos from the upcoming shows until we get a chance to catch these two live.
