YetepSeven Lions is primarily for his beautiful mastery of melodic bass music, but we know he has always had a passion for the world of psytrance. This can be heard sprinkled all throughout his discography. Abraxis, a group developed in recent years consisting of Seven Lions and Washington-based psytrance duo Dimibo, allows him to explore this subgenre freely.
Abraxis is back with a brand new psytrance hit titled “Black Rainbow.” Watch the official music video for the track below!
Abraxis – Black Rainbow [Official Music Video] | Ophelia Records
This track marks Abraxis’ first release in over a year, and is the fourth track in the project’s budding portfolio. The mood-setting dialogue presented in the song tells listeners a story of the fictional and enticing Dr. Abraxis, who is the head of the mysterious Abraxis Institute. This unique theme feeds further into the conceptual project, with Seven Lions and Dimibo certainly taking on their ‘faculty’ roles and effectively subjecting their students (listeners) to the will of the ominous doctor. This new track is intense, artistic, and fresh. The show-stopping drops combined with the carefully constructed soundscapes make “Black Rainbow” an immediate fan favorite, hopefully giving us a glimpse of what the artists have in store for the project moving forward.
