Nothing says Spring like some shimmering synths! This week’s Remix Recall we’re all about synths and breakdowns done by the progressive house super-duo, the Cat Dealers! These Brazilian brothers have really created a name for themselves since their start back in 2012. From being voted number 48 on the Top 100 of the World’s Biggest DJs by Britain’s DJ Mag in 2018 to sharing their unique sound all across the globe, their growth has only continued to climb.
Some Cat Dealers essential tracks are “Mistakes” with Loud Luxury, their first major hit “Your Body”, and their latest remix of Duke & Jones track “Vertigo”. They’ve also done reworks of other artists like Gryffin, Axwell, David Guetta and more. Their remixes really help showcase how unique and versatile their sound is.
Check out the Cat Dealers remix of Duke & Jones track “Vertigo” below:
Duke & Jones have carved a reputation as ‘producer’s producers’ and continue to prove that true talent doesn’t need a record label or huge co-sign to make waves. They have always let the music speak for itself. “Vertigo” was originally written during the first COVID lockdown and after a twelve-hour studio session with Marshmello, Duke & Jones then spent the next 14 months fine-tuning it to make it sound just right.
The Cat Dealers have now given “Vertigo” a euphoric revamp. By maintaining the original infectious melody and adding on some shimmering synths and rousing breakdowns, “Vertigo” has become a futuristic and trancelike track. This remix helps prove why the Cat Dealers are one of the most in-demand duos on the planet right now.
Cat Dealers will be bringing their biggest tour yet to Shady Park in Tempe, Arizona this July 1st! Grab your tickets and get more information here.
