YetepIt’s time to GetDown with SoDown! Saxophone-playing, genre-bending DJ and producer SoDown has just released his Get Up EP. Shared on his very own label GetDown Records, the new EP is a dub-infused bass music three-track wonder. SoDown shows us exactly how down he can get with bass music, taking us from groovy reggae vibes to full on bass face in a matter of seconds.
Check out the Get Up EP below:
Starting the EP off strong is a collaboration with Canadian DJ and producer, Defunk. Defunk is renowned for his dirty, funky, bass music. The title track collab truly showcases all of the above and more. “Get Up” is a reggae-fueled bass anthem that echoes the sound of SoDown’s saxophone and Defunk’s dub-bass influence. The next track “Badboi Sound” is an energetic dubstep track filled with monsterous synths. Closing out the EP is “Serious Dub”, a saxy dub-bass track that vibrantly beams SoDown’s unique sound. SoDown has created a signature sound that continues to hit new heights with each release. Anytime he shares a new project we’re ready for boundaries to be pushed and bass to be brought.
Don’t miss your chance to GetDown when SoDown takes the stage at Sunbar in Tempe, Arizona this May 13th! You can get more info and grab your tickets here.
