YetepUnique and distinct, Miane’s music is in a class by itself. Also known as Taty Munoz, the Spanish-born producer and DJ has been steadily establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the underground music scene. Now settled in Ibiza, Miane’s passion for music and eagerness to expand the boundaries of house music reflects in her eclectic sound that floats between genres. If you’re unfamiliar with Miane’s music, here are five essential songs that capture the scope of her sound:
House so House
It would be remiss to not mention the track that thrust this Spanish DJ into the spotlight. Rinsed by the likes of Gorgon City, Camelphat, and Hot Since 82, “House so House” samples Aretha Franklin’s powerful vocals from her hit “Chain of Fools.” Soulful vocals fade in and out against a groovy, unceasing bassline and minimal production, creating a meditative, trance-like state.
W You
One of her most streamed songs, percussive elements dominate this track, paired with a deep, bouncy bassline. Lilting vocals echo in the background of the track like a lullaby.
Baby Open up to Me
Miane ventures into the more techno side of electronic music with this 2021 release, creating a darker, more intimate soundscape perfect for club settings. Stripped-down and sparse, the pulse of the unrelenting beat is the driving force of this track, which also features angelic yet haunting vocals.
Who Are You?
This single is Miane’s debut release on Chris Lake’s label Black Book Records. Warm and organic, the tune has a lush ambiance to it, with a vibrant groove and sultry vocal hook that draws you in. “Who Are You?” was also remixed by Lake, whose rendition took a more bass-heavy, synth-intensive spin on the track.
Don’t Wanna Lie
Her latest release harnesses a darker groove and bassline. Swirling synths slowly pierce through the background, interwoven with the same alluring, irresistible vocals that have become quintessential to Miane’s sound.
Miane will be making her debut appearance in Arizona on May 28th, at Under Construction with Chris Lake b2b Fisher, held at the Phoenix Raceway. Don’t sleep on this—grab your tickets here before it’s too late!
