YetepDeemed Future House’s Founding Father, Don Diablo is one of dance music’s largest pioneering forces. From constantly being on the road to creating a massive NFT, he continues to surprise us with new projects again and again. For this week’s Remix Recall we’re checking out Don Diablo’s latest project, a reconstruction of the legendary Kid Cudi track “Day ‘n’ Nite.”
Check out Don Diablo’s “Day & Nite” below:
It’s been 14 years since Kid Cudi first released the OG hit as his debut single back in 2008. Many of us grew up listening to this timeless tune and 14 years later we’re still finding our way back to it. This is the type of song that everyone knows and loves. Don Diablo has given this classic throwback a refreshing remake with his unique and futuristic sound design.
The skillful use of the vocals and engaging beat are the perfect hook that leads us into the instrumental-filled drop. The combination of styles is something only Don Diablo could pull off so smoothly. The atmospheric remake has a calm night vibe that makes you want to take a long drive and forget about all of your problems. The “Day & Nite” release is accompanied by an incredible official music video that is not only directed by but features Don Diablo. You can check out the official “Day & Nite” music video here.
Of the release, Don Diablo expressed, “Shoutout to Kid Cudi for letting me spin this classic into a night drive tune. The video represents the many different moods and demons that come out when you are all alone…at night.”
