GRiZ Releases ‘Chasing The Golden Hour, Pt. 4’ LP

Following 2020’s Chasing the Golden Hour Pt. 3 and 2021’s Rainbow Brain, GRiZ is back with yet another stunning album. A vibrant collection of playful major key synth-work and brass melodies, Chasing The Golden Hour, Pt. 4 showcases GRiZ’s versatility as well as his softer, melodic side across nine dynamic tracks.

The LP opens with “Mystik Dub,” as GRiZ lays the groundwork for a funk-filled exploration into effervescent soundscapes before flowing into the bubbly, indie-electronica single, “Your Light.” Next is “Keep Bouncin’,” a groovy standout track that shines with the artist’s signature saxophone solo. GRiZ enlisted the help of hip-hop collaborator ProbCause and vocalist Chrishira Perrier for “Airplane Mode,” marking the only features on the LP.

“Carry On” displays a euphoric soundscape that gently rolls into the dreamy downtempo grooves of “Gooey.” GRiZ continues to hone his signature funk sound with “On a High” and “Your Mind” before concluding with the mesmerizing slow-burner “Sundown.” Chasing The Golden Hour 4 is a beautiful display of GRiZ’s versatility as a producer and a worthy follow up to his recent works.
