YetepFor over two years, Danny Avila has been pushing the boundaries of techno with his artistic movement Mainstage Techno. The movement aims to blend the underground sound of techno with a mainstage appeal for the masses. Danny Avila is setting the stage for the future of techno and pioneering it with genre-bending music like his recent release “Melodia” with the modern techno label HILOMATIK.
Coming in at 132 BPM with the typical thumping kick drums, Danny Avila’s ingenuity shines with a melodic arpeggio that is far from typical for a driving techno track. The song’s repetitive nature appeals to a main stage audience and fills spaces between genres at the same time. Throughout the track, the periodic notes of a vocalized crowd carries you along for the journey. A little more than halfway through, a middle eastern inspired vocalization builds tension for the peak, which I’ll leave for you to check out. It’s clear that Danny Avila is committed to the Mainstage Techno movement and will continue to progress the sound of techno.
