YetepIf you are a fan of DNB then you are probably familiar with one of the biggest names across the pond, DRS, aka Delroski. In the world of drum & bass, there is a phenomenon that we are not familiar with in the States, being the addition of the MC. Also known as the Master of Ceremonies, an MC is someone who is on the mic all night long bringing the crowd along the journey with the DJs. These are independent artists, singers, and promoters who are hired and signed by the venue or promotion company in order to engage with the crowd. While there are some artists such as Sub Focus who often collaborate and tour with the same MC, others team up with DJs on a more show by show basis. DRS, one of the absolute greatest MCs, is also a producer and rapper in his own right. With some of the most ethereal DNB tunes of the past decade, DRS shows no sign of slowing.
Starting out 2024 with a bang, DRS has released a huge album/mixtape, Everything Must Go. A collection of works that couldn’t quite find a home, the most recent album from the illustrious MC is a fantastic blend of UK DNB with influential tunes of old school dubstep amongst other tunes. From touring across the globe to ripping on the mic in UK garages, DRS has been able to bring together musical influences from his travels to make this release one of the most unique DNB albums in recent years. Be sure to check out this amazing release and stay connected with DRS below.
