YetepNGHTMRE and SLANDER, longtime friends in the EDM scene, surprised the world with their collaborative roject, Gud Vibrations, creating an extraordinary fusion of music, mixing expertise, top-tier production, and more. The timing of this trio’s formation proved to be impeccable for both SLANDER and NGHTMRE, a point that becomes evident when delving into the sequence of events. I hold Gud Vibrations in high regard, and I’m excited to break down what makes it so special.
Both NGHTMRE and SLANDER stand among the biggest names in the EDM industry, and a significant factor in their rise was undeniably Gud Vibrations. At that time, in my opinion, NGHTMRE excelled more in mixing, while SLANDER showcased superior production skills. Together, they formed a perfect team. Gud Vibrations made notable appearances at various festivals, with EDC Las Vegas being a standout, before the announcement of the colossal Alchemy Tour alongside Seven Lions and the Glitch Mob. This tour not only brought outstanding production but also saw all artists delivering their A-game, resulting in sold-out shows and propelling SLANDER and NGHTMRE into stardom. Additionally, they solidified their influence by establishing the Gud Vibrations label, providing opportunities for smaller artists to shine.
The question lingers: Will Gud Vibrations make a comeback? I personally do not think so. The last performance was at Ultra Miami 2022, and since then, there have been no hints of a future set. Personally, I speculate that this all-star group might have concluded its run. Both SLANDER and NGHTMRE have honed their individual strengths and can now command substantial crowds independently. However, if they ever decide to reunite, my advice is not to walk but to run and secure your tickets. Fortunately, NGHTMRE is slated to perform at PHXLIGHTS: Supernova, set to return to the Phoenix Raceway March 29th and 30th. You can grab your tickets here!
