For those who have been missing out on Mersiv until now, allow us to introduce you to this musical visionary. The Mersiv Sound Project is the brainchild of producer/DJ Anderson Benoit Gallegos, who first emerged on the scene in 2015. With a passion for creating bass music that’s as unique as it is captivating, Mersiv has meticulously honed his own distinctive style that he dubbed “Pretty Dark Loud,” which is fitting considering it seamlessly oscillates between these three elements. The essence of this project was to place listeners in the present moment, creating a truly immersive auditory experience.

Mersiv’s journey in the music world has been nothing short of remarkable. He made waves at Electric Forest in 2018, where his multi-set performance showcased his burgeoning sound and penchant for performing. Summer 2019, he debuted the Digital Eden EP, followed by the breakthrough single (and my personal favorite), “Beautiful & Filthy,” released on the WAKAAN label. This track garnered over 1.6 million streams on Spotify and set the stage for the 50-plus date Beautiful & Filthy Tour. Check it out!

Mersiv’s electrifying sets at festivals like Shambhala, Bonnaroo, Zeds Dead’s Deadrocks, and Okeechobee Music Festival only solidified his presence in the electronic music scene. Most notably, he achieved the coveted milestone of selling out the illustrious Red Rocks, a testament to his growing influence.

As if his musical journey weren’t impressive enough, Gallegos also heads MorFlo Records, a platform designed to showcase artists who tap into the flow through their art. Mersiv’s reach continued to expand, crossing the threshold of 2 million plays on SoundCloud and averaging over 110,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

In the fall of 2021, Mersiv unveiled his debut album, Pretty Dark Loud. This release was not just another collection of tracks; it was Mersiv’s full interpretation and defining moment for the Mersiv Sound Project. Fast forward to the present day, and Mersiv has once again graced us with his musical prowess. His October 2023 album release, Out of Bounds is proof of his ever-evolving sound.
