Excision’s Nexus Tour Visuals Go Mainstream 

Known for the insane production and live experience, Excision is one of the biggest names in EDM. Seen as the current “king of dubstep,” Excision has truly reached new levels with his most recent tour. Excision has been going big since day one. With bigger screens, bigger sounds, and bigger production, there was one point when people thought there was nothing more to be done. He has shown that he will not rest, constantly upgrading and improving his live experience every year. He has started off this year with a blast after his newest visuals from the Nexus Tour, which debuted at Thunderdome in Tacoma, have been taking off all over the internet. It is rare that we see entirely new visuals from Excision. Many of his longest running visuals had been updated and reworked as technology advanced, but this new Nexus Tour is something different. He did not just revamp some of his older visuals and add them to different songs. He has created an entirely new visual experience which has the whole internet talking. Whether it is the new Shrek visuals or the layering of lasers throughout the venue, there are so many new additions on this most recent tour. 

Not only has the “scary Shrek” visual caused a stir on popular social media sites such as Instagram and TikTok, but it has been drawing some big names to EDM. One of the most notable celebrities who has recently been turned on to the dubstep producers audiovisual experience is none other than Kanye West. While Kanye, a.k.a. “Ye,” has been in the spotlight for controversial rhetoric, this does not take away from the impact that he has had on the global music industry. Once one of the biggest names in the world, Kanye even has acknowledged the production level of Excision’s newest tour in a since-deleted Instagram post.
